Action Game from Ubi Soft Entertainment
2D side-scrolling platform game. It stars Rayman, an unusual looking character with floppy ears and hands and feet that are magically attached to his body without legs and arms! The game consists of a series of levels tied together with a good overall story.
The plot involves saving the world by rescuing groups of creatures called Electoons, who had been locked up by the evil Mr. Dark. The game covers six distinctive worlds and each one has six groups of Electoons to find. A map enables Rayman to travel back to previously visited levels. Rayman gains as new powers the game progresses including the ability to fly. The game boasts good design and well-balanced gameplay. As expected, it now looks a bit dated.
