Action Game from Interplay, by BioWare
Version of this popular sequel specially developed for PlayStation 2. It is an unconventional game combining platform and action gameplay. The game features a strong story and cast of characters and large well-designed levels. It incorporates many quirky and humorous touches. Settings are varied and include a fantastic alien city. The gameplay involves exploration, shooting and puzzle-solving.
The game's premise is that aliens are invading earth and your team must defeat them. Unlike the original game, there are three playable characters each of which has their own skills, weapons and levels. The characters are Max (a gun-toting robotic dog), Kurt Hectic (who has a robotic suit and good sniper rifle) and Doc Fluke Hawkins (a physically weaker character whose levels require you to rely on wits and precision control rather than blasting). Numerous mini-games are incorporated
The graphics are impressive and the AI has been improved since the first game. The control system is effective.
