Action Game from Namco
3D platform game and the first installment to appear on PlayStation 2 and features fully 3D graphics. The game features the same cast of cute characters as the original. The game is set over a series of themed worlds, each guarded by a boss and divided into sub-levels. Level design is good. The gameplay primarily involves exploration, combat and puzzle-solving.
There are three main characters; Lolo, Popka and Klonoa. Klonoa is a Dream Traveler, enabling him to travel to dream realms. The characters have a wide range of moves and equipment including guns (no gore) and magic hoops (used to capture enemies or to fly short distances). In the two-player cooperative mode, the other player controls a secondary character. The game's story involves Lolo mission to become a priestess.
The game employs a simple control system that uses the analog stick and just two buttons. The graphics are good.
