3D platform game. The game's premise is that you must rescue a female agent named Xtra, who has been kidnapped by Gex's nemesis Rez. She also happens to Gex's girlfriend and is played by Baywatch actress Marliece Andrada! The game's story is developed through lively cut sequences and dialogue.
There are 25 large levels to explore in this game. Settings include a range of TV-show/movie inspired environments to those based on ancient Greece and Egypt. You must collect the remote controls that are scattered around the levels to access to new areas.
The gameplay consists of the standard platform action. You must collect the items in each level, whilst avoiding/defeating various types of enemies. Notably, Gex gets to wear several disguises during the game.
Gex has an extensive selection of moves at his disposal. He can climb well, perform attacks with his tail and tongue, and even snowboard.
