Aged first-person shoot 'em up. Final Doom on PC features sixty-four levels and on PlayStation, there are some forty levels. The PlayStation version consisted of three level-sets called 'Master Levels' 'The Plutonia Experiment' and 'TNT: Evilution'. The Master Levels are approved levels designed by enthusiasts and available on the Net. The other sets were developed by id Software. Significantly, no new weapons or enemy types feature. The PC game offers a multi-player mode for up to eight players (over modem connection or LAN). The PlayStation game has no multi-player mode. | The games are 3D, first person, shoot 'em ups. You take the role of a lone space marine facing hoards of demonic creatures. The gameplay involves exploring the levels, clearing them of enemies and opening up new areas. Ammo, armor and health power-ups are scattered around. Weapons featured include chainsaw, pistol, double-barreled shotgun and the famous BFG9000.
