Action Game from GT Interactive, by Monolith Productions
First-person shooter. Set in the future, the story concerns Caleb's quest to the restore of the rulers of the Cabal cult. The cult is now a major corporate power. There are four playable characters; Caleb, Gabriella, Ishmael and Ophelia.
The game is divided into four chapters with a total of some 30 levels, set in rambling complexes. Settings include office blocks, labs and a cathedral. There are also 14 dedicated deathmatch levels for multi-player mode action. In this mode you create your own character.
The basic aim is to kill everything, but there are also missions with objectives such as infiltrating and destroying an enemy stronghold. Challenging bosses feature. There is range of futuristic weaponry with a variety of firing modes, together with magical weapons. Among the more innovative weapons is the voodoo doll and napalm launcher. The game employs the Lithtech engine. The 3D graphics and visual effects are good. The AI is also good.
